THE START

Sports and Healthy Living started taking off early 2018 in the MENA region, and Protein Bars in particular are either filled with non-nutritious and synthetic Ingredients that no one has even heard of, or have a really unsatisfying texture and flavors that do not leave the mouth, Literally.

We couldn’t believe that there wasn’t a more nutritious and simpler protein bar out there. Maybe the idea of a real and simple protein bar was far-fetched, but we decided to stop talking and try to make it ourselves.

THE Chocolate Factory

We were raised in a Family who has been breathing and talking chocolate for the past 30 years. Don’t get us wrong, Protein bar manufacturing and chocolate manufacturing are two very different worlds… but Imagine these two worlds colliding, and by colliding we mean coming together in their best form, our MAK BARS.

Since day one, we’ve always been upfront about our bars, what’s inside and what isn’t. We never cut corners and it was never our intention to compromise quality. Our factory has always been about premium manufacturing and if a product doesn’t meet our high standards, we won’t release it. Period. “Okay” was never an option. We’ve gone to reaching hundreds of Recipe formulations for a single product, always improving little by little, in order to get it just right. Awkwardly, turns out fear of failure tastes pretty good.

We all strive to have better eating habits but let’s be honest, having continuous accessibility to a balanced snack is super challenging. Even if you wanted to make your own healthy breakfast or meal replacement, not everyone has the luxury of time nor expertise to make it. But worry no more, we got you covered!
Our real food protein snacks are for the workout enthusiasts, for the on the goer, for the passionate foodie or for the parent who just wants a healthy snack for their kid.
